July 2007 is coming to an end....Another Sunday spent at office

On Friday I went to the post-office. Sent some documents back home by speed post. While I was returning home, I decided to go to buy a book for myself. It was a book on Karan Thapar. It contained 20 interviews of personalities including Aishwarya Rai, Maharani Gayatri Devi, Amitav Ghosh, Arundhati Roy, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Amartya Sen. It began with the interview of A R Rehman. I wondered why. Was he a greater personality than others. Or was it just in chronology of the interview. I think it might be based on time or order of the interview. What was my learning. I came to know that Karan Thapar was a Kashmiri. His wife's name is Nisha. I had never known anything about the author Amitav Ghosh. Then I also read about photojournalist Raghu Rai. His connection with Indira Gandhi and Mother Teresa. Oh! How Can I forget Field Marshal Sam Maneck Shaw. He was the first gentleman cadet from IMA, Dehradun to become the Chief Of Army Staff. He was a Parsi. Then I also read about Ratan Tata. Surprisingly, such a rich guy but never married as he did not meet the right person in life. Well, glad to know that someone shares the same feeling about marriage as I do. Also, it was strange to know that even in his sixties, he had not lost the hope of meeting his dream mate. That was nice. I read about Sachin. My notion about him of being a gentleman was diminished by reading about him. He seems to a prankster and a more jovial guy. That's all I read. I will read more once i reach home.
