TRANQUILITY

Today,

Was a breezy day

At dawn,

The winds

Swept my mahogany away

Dark and dim

It rained, rained and rained

The shy sun like a bride,

Hid its face behind the clouds

Refusing to come out

Even when the loud sky

Rumbled…

The moist earth,

Received the rains,

With no more to hold,

In its bosom

There was water all around…

Now at dusk,

Darkness blankets the day,

During the twilight,

Skies turn silent

And there is tranquility

Abound…
